The Woodrow Wilson Family Home is a vital link between past and present. The family of fourteen-year-old Thomas "Tommy" Woodrow Wilson came to Columbia, South Carolina, at a pivotal moment in the history of the city and the nation. Its arrival during the post-war years offers visitors a starting point from which to explore the experiences of all Columbia residents - black and white, male and female, native and transplanted - in the crucible of Reconstruction. Through this virtual tour, Historic Columbia Foundation offers guests access to that dramatic story in a way that complements on-site tours and programs.
